The Acorn School for Early Childhood Development is a non-profit organization governed by an active, committed, involved, and knowledgeable Board of Directors.
The Board is comprised of a President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other directors up to 6-8 in total. All Board members bring expertise vital to the organization such as strong backgrounds in finance and legal matters, marketing, and communications.
The Board meets on a regular basis to discuss strategic planning and long-term financial planning as well as current operations, health and safety issues, staff development efforts, grant and foundation applications, and quality assurance measures.
The Executive Director of The Acorn School reports directly to the Board of Directors and is evaluated by the Board on an annual basis.
